Jane's Endangered Animal Experience

Now Open

Jane’s Endangered Animal Experience is a hands-on exhibit based on Jane, the 10-episode mission-driven series for kids and families focused on a young girl named Jane Garcia inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall. Guests will have the opportunity to learn about the North American honey bee—both its contributions to the environment and the challenges it is facing. Guests can also fly in a replica of Jane's high-tech pod vehicle, collecting pollen and evading predators just as she and her friends do in the series, as well as climb onto a custom-built, kid-sized model of a bee to get up close and personal with what makes these tiny creatures so incredible. Jane’s Endangered Animal Experience invites kids and families into a wonderful world inspired by the Apple TV+ series.

Jane’s Endangered Animal Experience is located on the second floor across from the Life! Beginnings exhibit. This new exhibit is included with the California Science Center's free general admission.

The Jane Goodall Institute

The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) is a global, community-centered conservation organization founded in 1977 that advances the vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall in over 30 countries around the world. JGI aims to understand and protect chimpanzees, other apes and their habitats, and empower people to be compassionate citizens in order to inspire conservation of the natural world we all share. JGI uses research, community-led conservation, best-in-class animal welfare standards, and the innovative use of science and technology to inspire hope and transform it into action for the common good. Through the Roots & Shoots program for young people of all ages, now active in over 60 countries around the world, JGI is creating an informed and compassionate critical mass of people who will help to create a better world for people, other animals, and our shared environment.

Jane's Endangered Animal Experience is produced by Apple TV+, Sinking Ship Entertainment, and Flying Fish Exhibits, and is only on view at the California Science Center and Carnegie Museum of Natural History. JGI does not endorse handling or close proximity to wildlife; this represents CGI animation in a fantasy-based context.
