Dive Team Interns

Join our team to stimulate curiosity and science learning among guests of all ages at the California Science Center! The Dive Team program is a 7-week paid internship during Summer 2025. The Dive Team Intern will engage in hands-on activities focused on marine biology, SCUBA diving, oceanography, and marine conservation. Interns will explore careers in marine biology, SCUBA diving, and environmental conservation. This program was made possible thanks to the generosity of the Vera R. Campbell Foundation.

How to qualify for the program

The Dive Team program is designed for high school students entering 11th-12th grade in the Fall 2025 who attend Math, Science, & Technology Magnet Academy, Theodore Roosevelt High School, or Felicitas & Gonzalo Mendez High School.

Prospective applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA. Additionally, because this program requires interns to become employees of the California Science Center Foundation, interns must acquire a work permit through their high school and be able to work in the United States.
