Traveling Lab Series

Grades 3-8

Investigate these exciting topics and watch your students emerge as young scientists and engineers in just a few sessions!  Each session includes hands-on science activities and supports Next Generation Science Standards.

Each Traveling Lab Series can be scheduled over a series of weeks or days.  Lab programs last approximately 50 minutes and take place in your existing classrooms/multipurpose rooms. All labs will be facilitated by a California Science Center educator and accommodate up to 30 students each.

Available Theme Options

Air & Space (Grades 3-8)
Cultivate the next generation of astronauts with these out of this world labs! Explore the forces of flight, engineer useful tools, and learn what it takes to go to space. Pairs well with the Astro Adventures Assembly.

Forensics (Grades 3-8)
Discover the tools you’ll need to solve a Science Center mystery! Learn how to lift fingerprints, identify relevant clues, create an argument based on evidence, and crack the case!

Engineering (Grades 3-8)
Design, test, redesign, and create your very own projects! Students will build robotic arms, use pneumatics, complete complex circuits, and fully immerse themselves in the world of engineering.
