Wear a mask
Everyone over the age of two is required to wear a mask at all times, except while eating in designated dining areas. Despite the County of Los Angeles’ loosening of restrictions on wearing masks in public for those who are fully vaccinated, masks are required at the California Science Center even if you have been vaccinated for COVID-19. We value the wellbeing of our guests and staff, and especially want to help keep kids safe and parents comfortable.
Masks must be made of two or more layers of tightly woven material, must fit snugly against the sides of your face, entire nose, mouth and chin. Masks with valves, vents, mesh or holes are not permitted. Also, bandannas and other loose-fitting-style masks cannot be used as masks. If you remove your mask, you will be asked to leave. For more information about our mask policy, please check out our Mask FAQs.
Mission Safety Protocols
The California Science Center’s cleaning protocols uphold the highest standards of cleanliness. Our climate control systems bring in the maximum possible amount of outdoor air and use hospital-grade filtration. You will find handwashing and sanitizing stations throughout the Science Center.
